Barcelona forward, Lionel Messi joined Christiano Ronaldo in becoming the second Footballer to be tagged as a billionaire.
This is coming just weeks after he submitted a transfer request asking to be allowed to leave Barcelona the club he has been all his professional life.
Though the Argentine made a u-turn earlier last week and confirmed his desire to see out his contract at the club that expires in 2021.
The Barcelona legend is estimated to earn in the region of $130 million in 2020, which according to Forbes is enough to make him the second billionaire footballer in history behind his rival, Christiano Ronaldo.
So what will it be for the Argentine after he becomes a football-made billionaire, will he head to Manchester City, Asia or China to pile his trade or will he sign a new contract at Barcelona when his contract is up in 2021. Which ever one, the sky seems to be the limit for the Barcelona legend.
