Donald Trump confirms ban on video-sharing app, TikTok

American President, Donald Trump has confirmed that he will be banning popular video sharing app TikTok in the U.S.

The President made this statement onboard Air Force One on Saturday.

The app has raised concerns among official in the U.S. and around the world over claims it is being used by China to spy on citizens.

Trump stated: “As far as TikTok is concerned, we are banning them from United States” he told reporters onboard Air Force One as he returned from Florida.

He continued “Well, I have the authority. I can do it with executive order”.

Trump also ruled out claims of Microsoft buying the app, saying he won’t be supporting such move.
