Nigerian Labour Union denies planning of going on strike
The Deputy President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Joe Ajaero, has debunked rumours of the union going on strike.
This comes after union staged a walkout few minutes into a meeting with representatives of the Federal Government on Sunday November 22.
Comrade Ajaero while addressing newsmen on Monday November 23, said the walk out was an expression of anger given government’s insincerity to the issues under contention.
He further stated that they cannot declare a strike on their own without engaging members and following due process. He also stressed that contrary to citizen’s reactions, the labour movement has not lost focus.
