Suspected bandits attacked the villages of Zango Kataf and Maro in Kajuru Local Government Areas of Kaduna State between Monday August 17 and Wednesday, August 19, which reportedly left 11 villagers dead.
According to a statement by the chairman of the attacked local government, Elias Manza, the attack was a revenge action by suspected Fulani militia.
Manza who disclosed that the Special Forces of the Nigerian Army and Air Force have arrived in some of the vulnerable communities to protect the residents from being attacked by the bandits, further revealed that eight houses were burnt by the attackers while the villagers have fled from the community for fear of a reprisal attack.

Chairman of Kajuru local government, Cafra Caino also confirmed that four people including a pastor who were traveling in a commercial vehicle at Maro village, a border between Kajuru and Kachia local government areas were killed by gunmen.
This is another latest happenings in Kaduna which has also prompted the state Governor El-Rufai to announce that he is installing CCTV cameras in every part of Southern Kaduna.
